The Climate Modeling Laboratory
at North Carolina State University
Introduction
The Climate Modeling laboratory(CLIMLAB) is directed by Professor Fredrick Semazzi.
This website highlights the research activities conducted at Climlab, classes offered,
data and related information.
Primary Foci
- Development of a prototype of the "Next Generation" global climate models (GCMs)
- Development of a fully coupled Atmosphere-Ocean-Lake-Land regional climate model for downscaling
global model simulations and predictions
- Collaborative research through programs like RCOF, ISET, SSA, US Department of Energy and UCAR Africa Initiative
- Focus on end-user climate applications critical to Africa and the world
- Research Experience for Undergraduates Project
